Artist • Intuitive Creator • Interior Alchemist

I’m Stephanie Vaughan—a contemporary visual artist, a life coach and an interior designer based in Northern California.
My work emerges through intuition, primal gender expression and the human Souls evolution - taking form through organic earthy palettes, feminine forms and masculine textures.
I create to honor the experiences I’ve had throughout my life leaving wisdom in their wake.
As a single Mom of daughters and a lifetime Self Seeker, I’ve spent decades exploring how emotions affect our lives, the stories we make up, the reality that is then perceived and how the Self responds.
My creative life is an ever-deepening dialogue between the inner and outer worlds and my artwork is a visual echo of that relationship.
What I paint is often what I feel before I understand it - I dwell in discovery and the challenge for solutions.
I hope my work may awaken something ancient and maybe unnoticed inside of your heart, something familiar yet still quiet, but waiting to be seen and questioned.
My studio is a sanctuary filled with natural light and the quiet presence of nature- it is an artistic lab for experimenting with color, texture, mistakes and discoveries.
From this space, I create original artwork for collectors, interior designers and those seeking meaningful connection through art.

“Barbie… became central to her inquiry… exposing socially imposed expectations placed on women.”

"Abstract painting is the highest and most difficult form of painting because it requires of the artist the ability to take full stock of reality and the ability to make a departure from it." ~John Graham
